DENVER – Utah Valley’s Stetson Sartor and Michael McPherson have been named the Western Athletic Conference men’s track and field Athletes of the Week, respectively, for March 23-29.
Sartor, a freshman from Layton, Utah (Herriman HS), ran a personal record of 10.65 seconds to take a second place overall finish in the 100 meter dash at the UVU Collegiate Invite this weekend. His time ranks the fastest in the conference so far this season.
McPherson, a senior from Parker, Colo. (Chaparral HS), was accepted to and competed at the prestigious Texas Relays last week and finished in sixth place in the decathlon with 7,070 points. He leads the conference in the event this season.
