DENVER - Grand Canyon's Josh Ralston and Missouri-Kansas City's Joshua Harden have been named the Western Athletic Conference men's track and field Athletes of the Week, respectively, for April 6-12.
Ralston, a junior from Detroit, Mich. (Hamilton HS), raced to the fastest conference time of outdoor season in the 400-meter dash en route to taking home first in the race at the Mesa Classic Friday. The junior crossed the line in a time of 47.34 seconds. He was also a member of the 4x400-meter relay team that took first (3:15.68) and the 4x100-meter relay team that finished second (40.64 seconds).
Harden, a senior from Corral Spring, Flo. (Highland C.C.), grabbed a second place finish in the men's triple jump at the KT Woodman Classic in Kansas this weekend. Harden leaped to a career best and fifth UMKC all-time mark of 15.00 meters which leads the conference so far this season.
