DENVER - New Mexico State's Pat Beyhan and Grand Canyon'sCharlotte Jaengkit have been named the Western Athletic Conference Golfers of the Week for Mar. 30 - Apr. 5.
Beyhan, a senior from Albuquerque, N.M. (La Cueva HS), tied for fifth at the Aggie Invitational, hosted by Texas A&M, with a four-over 220. It is the second straight Golfer of the Week honor for Beyhan, who led the Aggies to a sixth-place finish among some of the top teams in the nation.
Jaengkit, a senior from Bangkok, Thailand (Antelope Valley Christian), won her fifth-straight tournament and seventh of the season at the Bobcat Desert Invitational in Goodyear, Ariz. She shot a two-over 218 to finish one stroke ahead of teammate Kennadie Montoya as the Lopes won the tournament by 20 shots over second-place Montana.
