Sixteen WAC Athletes to Compete at Outdoor Regionals

DENVER - Fourteen men and two women will represent the WAC at the 2015 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field West Preliminary Championships May 28-30.

The West region preliminary round will be held at the University of Texas in Austin, Texas.

The NCAA announced the entrants in both the West and the East regional (held at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Fla.) Thursday.

Qualifying on the men's side:
Cole Eisenhour, Utah Valley (110-meter hurdles)
Karnell Grimes, CSU Bakersfield (javelin throw)
Joshua Harden, Missouri-Kansas City (triple jump)
Blake Hocking, Missouri-Kansas City (shot put)
Jason Lynch, Utah Valley (10000-meter run)
Shaddye Melu, Seattle U (high jump)
Bryce Miller, Missouri-Kansas City (3000-meter steeplechase)
Scott Moake, Utah Valley (high jump)
Trac Norris, Utah Valley (3000-meter steeplechase)
Stetson Sartor, Utah Valley (100-meter dash)
Stephen Scott, Utah Valley (javelin throw)
Kyler Sprague, Utah Valley (400-meter hurdles)
Nicholas Taylor, Utah Valley (100-meter dash)
Bryan Wilmert, CSU Bakersfield (hammer throw)

Qualifying on the women's side:
Courtney Frerichs, Missouri-Kansas City (3000-meter steeplechase)
Deandra Barroso, Texas-Pan American (400-meter hurdles)

The top 12 finishers in each event at the regionals will compete in the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships held June 10-13 in Eugene, Ore.
