EUGENE, Ore. - Missouri-Kansas City senior Courtney Frerichs finished in second place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships Saturday with a career-best time of 9:31.36 for her fifth career All-America honor.
Frerichs finished 2.04 seconds behind Florida State's Colleen Quigley, who won the race with a time of 9:29.32. Frerichs beat reigning national champion Leah O'Connor of Michigan State, who placed third.
