WAC SEASON HAS STARTED
The 2015 WAC Cross Country season has officially begun. CSU Bakersfield took 3rd at the Pepperdine Invitational. Sarah Fogarty and Bryce Miller of UMKC led the pack at the Bob Timmons Classic. Seattle U's Gus Arroyo led the Redhawks and finished third overall at the UW/SU Open. UTRGV opened up at home with the RGV Duals against Texas A&M Corpus Christi. Jose Juan Wells paced the men's team with a second place finish while Jennifer Zapata led the women's team with a third place finish. The New Mexico State men beat New Mexico and Wayland Baptist but fell to Texas Tech and UTEP while the Aggie women beat Wayland Baptist but lost to Texas Tech, UTEP, and New Mexico in the Texas Tech Open. Grand Canyon placed fourth in the George Kyte Invitational, Utah Valley men placed second at the BYU Autumn Classic and Chicago State placed sixth at the UIC Opener.

Grand Canyon Sweep the WAC Runners of the Week Awards
Samuel Proctor and Kelsi Klotter have been named Western Athletic Conference Runners of the week, respectively, for the week Aug. 31-Sept. 6.

The 2015 WAC Cross Country Championship will take place in Orem, Utah on Oct. 31. The NCAA Division I Regional Championships will be held around the country Nov.13.
