Grand Canyon senior forward Grandy Glaze has been named Western Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 28-Jan. 3. This is his second WAC Player of the Week honor of the season.

The Toronto, Ontario, native averaged 18.5 points on 68 percent shooting and 7.5 rebounds in leading the Antelopes to a pair of victories to extend their win streak to six games. In a road win at SIUE last Monday, Glaze finished with 17 points, including a career-best 7-of-8 free throws, to go along with seven rebounds. He followed it up with 20 points on 10-of-13 shooting and eight rebounds in a win over Bethune-Cookman on Sunday. It was the seventh time he has shot 75 percent or better in a game this season. Glaze now leads the WAC in field goal percentage this season at 63.5 percent.

Other nominees included: Aly Ahmed of CSU Bakersfield averaged 16.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.6 blocks and 1.0 steals as the Roadrunners went 2-1 on the week ... Missouri-Kansas City's Dashawn King averaged 13.5 points, 3.0 steals, 2.0 assists and 1.5 rebounds over two games last week ... Pascal Siakam of NM State averaged 22.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 2.0 blocks and 1.0 steals as the Aggies went 1-1 on the week ... Seattle U's Manroop Clair averaged 14.0 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals as the Redhawks went 1-1 on the week ... Dakota Slaughter of UT Rio Grande Valley averaged 16.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists over two games last week ... Utah Valley's Marcel Davis averaged 14.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals as the Wolverines went 1-1 on the week.
