SEATTLE - UMKC junior
Bryce Miller was the first runner across the finish line as the Roos held off three-time champion Utah Valley for the 2016 WAC Men's Cross Country Championship, winning the title by just one point.
Miller covered the 8000-meter course in 25:03.50 to win his first WAC cross country title. Grand Canyon's
Samuel Proctor took second in a time of 25:06.10 and the Utah Valley duo of
Jason Lynch and
Tyson Lambert took third and fourth in times of 25:07.60 and 25:08.4 respectively. UMKC junior
Tyson Fambrough rounded out the top five with a time of 25:12.11.
UMKC finished with a team score of 46 to finish just ahead of Utah Valley, who scored 47 points on the meet. Seattle U was third with 65 points.
