SEATTLE - Placing three runners in the top four, the Utah Valley women secured a repeat as WAC Cross Country Champions on Saturday morning at Jefferson Park Golf Course in Seattle. Seattle U's
Lila Rice won the individual title in a time of 18:01.
The Wolverines were led by a second-place finish from junior
Savannah Berry, who covered the 5000-meter course in 18:19, one second faster than teammate
McKayla Morgan, who finished third.
McKenzie Preece was close behind her teammates, taking fourth in a time of 18:22. UMKC's
Chandler Carreon rounded out the top five with a time of 18:25.
As a team, Utah Valley finished with 41 points. Seattle U took second with 46 points and NM State finished third with 72 points.
