WAC Women's Swimming and Diving Athletes of the Week Announced

DENVER - Seattle U's Blaise Wittenauer-Lee and Northern Arizona's Alexa Geiger have been named Western Athletic Conference Women's Swimmer and Diver of the week, respectively, for Nov. 28-Dec. 4.

Wittenauer-Lee, a senior from Portland, Oreg., placed first with personal bests in the 100 breast (1:01.19), 200 breast (2:11.26), and 200 IM (2:01.77) at the Husky Invitational. She also set school records and earned the number one rank in the WAC in all three events. Her 100 breast an 200 breast were both NCAA “B” cuts.

Geiger, a senior from Fullerton, Calif., swept the diving events against New Mexico State. Her three meter score (304.80) beat the next best diver by almost 17 points. She won the 1 meter by more than 10 points with a score of 303.90. For the third time this season, she posted NCAA Zone qualifying scores on both board in the a single meet.

Other swimmer nominees: CSUB's Dylana Milobar posted two season bests and the third best time in the WAC for the 100 breast at the Winter Nationals… North Dakota's Steph Fry placed second in the 100 breast with the second best time in the WAC, and placed first in the 50 free with the second best time in the WAC at the Bucknell Invite.
