DENVER - Grand Canyon's Mathieu Rajaonah and New Mexico State's Rimpledeep Kaur have been named the Western Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Tennis Players of the Month, respectively, for November.
Rajaonah, a sophomore from Marseille, France, closed out the fall season winning two of three matches at the UNLV Invitational. After coming up short in Friday's match, he went on to win the consolation bracket of Flight 1.
Kaur, a junior from Jassowal, India, won all three of her matches and claimed the singles title in Flight 1 at the GCU Invitational. Her first match of the weekend ended in just two sets (6-1, 6-0). She also won the championship match in two sets (6-4, 6-4) In doubles, she won two of three matches with partner Vanessa Valdez.
Other female nominees: Seattle U's Michelle Lui won two of her three singles matches of Flight A at the Bulldog Invitational.
