KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Soccer Coaches Association of America announced on Friday the 2016 NSCAA NCAA Division I Men's All-America Teams. Utah Valley junior midfielder
Paul Hoffmeister was honored as a Third Team selection.
Hoffmeister, who earlier this week was named First Team All-West Region, led regular season champion Utah Valley with nine goals and 21 points as the Wolverines earned their first WAC title in just the program's third season. He is UVU's first NSCAA NCAA All-American.
In addition to his success on the pitch, the German midfielder was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America second team, also a first for the program.
This year's NSCAA NCAA Division I Men's All-America Teams feature a total of 36 players, who will be formally acknowledged for their accomplishments at the NSCAA All-America Luncheon on January 14, 2017 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in conjunction with the 2017 NSCAA Convention.
