NAMPA, Idaho - The second day of the 2016 WAC Indoor Track and Field Championship started with the final events of the heptathlon as Grand Canyon's Pierre-Louis Ricou earned the first men's title of the weekend, winning the heptathlon with 4,627 points. The first two field events of the day saw a couple of repeat winners, as Seattle U's Shaddye Melu won the men's high jump by clearing 2.08m, and Utah Valley's McKay Burnett took the men's weight throw title with a throw of 17.62m (57-09.75).

Grand Canyon earned its second title in the women's long jump as Kevina Godfrey won the event with a jump of 5.86m (19-2.75).
