LAS VEGAS - Top-seeded NM State cruised past No. 4 Utah Valley in the semifinals of the WAC Tournament Friday. The Aggies now advance to the championship game for the second consecutive year.
NM State held the Wolverines without a field goal for the first 10:45 of the game and never looked back, leading wire to wire. The Aggies out-shot Utah Valley 40 percent to 33 percent and the Wolverines were just 1-of-13 from three-point range.
NM State's Moriah Mack led all players with 14 points, while Shanice Davis and Sasha Weber added 12 apiece.
Utah Valley's Patrice Toston scored a game- and career-high 19 points, while Sam Loggins finished with 13.
