LAS VEGAS - In just the second double overtime game in WAC Tournament history and the first since 2005, second-seeded UT Rio Grande Valley defeated No. 3 CSU Bakersfield 72-73 in the second semifinal to return to the title game for the second year in a row.

The game was tied at 51 with 9:37 left in the game before UTRGV used an 8-0 run to take a 59-51 lead. CSUB then used its own run to tie the game at 63 with 33 seconds remaining. Neither team led by more than two points from that point on. Rickell Preston hit the game-winner with six seconds remaining to give the Vaqueros the victory and punch their ticket to the title game.

WAC Player of the Year Shawnte' Goff finished with 24 points to pace the Vaqueros. Hild Kjartansdottir added a double-double of 10 points and 16 rebounds, her eighth of the year.

The Roadrunners' Batabe Zempare posted her 11th double-double of the season with a game-high 25 points and 16 rebounds.
