LAS VEGAS - A balanced attack led second-seeded CSU Bakersfield past No. 3 Seattle U in the second semifinal of the WAC Tournament on Friday night. The Roadrunners advance to play top-seeded NM State in the championship game on Saturday.
The CSUB offense was sparked by a Division I program record 12 assists from Justin Pride as CSU Bakersfield finished the night shooting 46.9 percent from the field. The Roadrunners made 11 three-pointers to help build the lead they would hold for the majority of the game.
Kevin Mays led the Runners with 18 points and six rebounds. Jaylin Airington added 16 points and Dedrick Basile chipped in 12 points. Damiyne Durham rounded up the Runners in double-digits with 11 points in the win.
Seattle U was led by 10 points from Jadon Cohee.
