DENVER -Missouri-Kansas City's Antoine Rozner and NM State's Viviana Macias have been named Western Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Golfers of the Week, respectively, for March 16 through March 22.
Rozner, a senior from Paris, France (Lycee Jean de la Fontaine), won his fifth career title at the Desert Shootout and his third of the year, firing a 14-under-par 202. He used the fifth lowest tournament score in UMKC history to finish at the top of the leaderboard among 116 golfers and sits just one win shy of the school record for single-season wins.
Macias, a senior from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico (Colegio de Bachilleres del Estado de Jalisco), led the Aggies to a fifth-place finish at the Mountain View Collegiate in Tucson, Ariz. The senior fired a 3-under-par 69 in the final round to place eighth individually among 85 golfers, her fourth top-10 finish this season. She currently leads NM State with a 73.27 scoring average.
Other men's nominees: NM State's Kenneth Fadke II led the Aggies at the Lone Star Invitational with a 12-over-par 228 to finish tied for 34th among 100 golfers … Seattle U's Joe Harvie shot a 3-under-par 213 to finish tied for eighth at the Northwest Classic in Canby, Ore.
Other women's nominees: Seattle U's Dorsey Addicks finished in a tie for 12th place at the Sacramento State Invitational, shooting a 12-over-par 228 … Utah Valley's Carly Dehlin led the Wolverines with an 18-over-par 234 at the Sacramento State Invitational.
