DENVER -Missouri-Kansas City's Mackenzie Black has been named Western Athletic Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for March 23 through March 29.
Black, a junior from Independence, Iowa (Independence HS), led the ‘Roos in scoring for the second time this season, firing an 11-over-par 227 at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational in Kaneohe, Hawai'i. She opened the 54-hole tournament with a 2-over-par 74 as she finished in a tie for 34th place among 96 golfers from around the world. UMKC finished 11th among 16 teams, including three nationally-ranked teams.
