LAS VEGAS - Third-seeded CSU Bakersfield defeated No. 6 Seattle U 62-54 in the final quarterfinal game of the WAC Tournament Wednesday. The Roadrunners advance to play UT Rio Grande Valley in the semifinals Friday.
Neither team shot the ball well, as Seattle U out-shot CSU Bakersfield 42 percent to 38 percent from the field, but the Redhawks connected on just 38 percent from the free throw line. The Redhawks won the rebounding battle, 39-33.
CSUB's Erika Williams led all players with 19 points, while Batabe Zempare finished with 10 points and eight rebounds.
Seattle U was paced by Kaylee Best and Tal Sahar with 13 points each, while Ashlyn Lewey added 10.
