For the women, The regular season is now in the rear view mirror as the eight teams of the Western Athletic Conference will head to Semiahmoo Country Club in Blaine, Wash. for the 2016 WAC Women's Golf Championship on April 22-24. Following a practice round on April 21, the first wave of players will tee off at 8 a.m. on Friday, April 22 with the trophies handed out two days later. Seven teams will contend for the team title while Grand Canyon will be on hand competiting as individuals due to the Lopes' transition to NCAA Division I. The team champion earns an automatic selection to the Regional round of the NCAA Women's Golf Championship.
On the men's side, just three tournaments remain in the regular season with Chicago State heading to Macomb, Ill. for the Beu/Mussato Invitational. Seattle U travels to California for the El Macero Classic and Missouri-Kansas City will be in Iowa City, Iowa for the Hawkeye Invitational. The remaining teams will work on their game in prepartion for the 2016 WAC Men's Golf Championship on April 30 through May 2 at Loomis Trail Golf Course in Blaine, Wash.
