BROWNSVILLE, Texas - No. 4 Seattle U defeated No. 5 Chicago State in the first match of the WAC Tennis Tournament Friday at the Brownsville Tennis Center. With the win, the Redhawks advance to semifinals on Saturday, where they will face top-seeded Missouri-Kansas City.

In doubles, Seattle U got one point at No. 3 doubles by default. The Redhawks' John Stormans and Connor Leahy then beat Felix Savard and Rohan Wattley 6-3 on court 2, giving the Redhawks the early point.

In singles, Seattle U's Jeremiah Kalmus took the first point by default. Tanner Berkabile went on to win on court one against Felix Savard, 6-4, 6-4 and clinching the match was Connor Leahy against Gonzalo Martinez, winning 6-4, 2-6, 6-0 on court five.
