SEATTLE - No. 3 seed CSU Bakersfield plated two unearned runs in the bottom of the first inning on a NM State error and went on to a 2-1 win over the Aggies to advance to the championship game on Saturday.
NM State, which stranded 15 runners, out-hit the Roadrunners 9-3 in the loss.
CSUB starter Amber Mills earned the win, allowing one run on six hits over four innings. Reliever Sydney Raeber picked up her fifth save of the season.
NM State's Karysta Donisthorpe struck out eight over six innings. She allowed two unearned runs on three hits with one walk and fell to 12-9 on the season with the loss.
