MESA, Ariz. - Top-seed Seattle U scored four runs in the bottom of the ninth to stun fourth-seed Sacramento State, 5-4, in the final game of the day at the 2016 WAC Baseball Tournament at Hohokam Stadium in Mesa, Ariz.

The Redhawks opened up the scoring in the bottom of the first as Sean Sutton singled down the right field line to score Griffin Andreychuk from second but Seattle U wouldn't put any more runs on the scoreboard until the final frame. Sacramento State tied it up in the third as PJ Floyd scored on a wild pitch and then Andrew McWilliam drove in three on an RBI double in the seventh as it looked like the Hornets would earn the upset.

After posting just four hits in the first eight innings combined, the Redhawk offense came alive in the bottom of the ninth. The first runs came in on a two-RBI double by Curtis Perrin that pulled SU within one run. Cameron Sterne, who came on as a pinch runner from Max Modeste, scored on a sacrifice fly by Andreychuk to tie the game, giving Dalton Hurd the opportunity to play hero. Hurd accepted the role, htting a single up the middle to score Perrin from third and give the Redhawks the 5-4 walkoff win.

Connor Moore earned the win for Seattle U, allowing just one hit in two and two-third innings of relief. Tyler Beardsley was handed the loss from Sacramento State.

Seattle U advances to play Utah Valley on Friday night for the chance to play for an NCAA tournament berth on Saturday. Sacramento State will await the winner of the morning game between CSU Bakersfield and NM State in a game set to begin at 3 p.m.
