DENVER - The Western Athletic Conference Board of Directors elected the 2016-17 Executive Committee at its meeting last week.
California State University, Bakersfield President Dr. Horace Mitchell was elected Chair, while The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley President Dr. Guy Bailey was elected as Vice Chair. The third member of the Executive Committee is University of Missouri-Kansas City Chancellor Leo Morton, who served as the Chair for 2015-16.
