INDIANAPOLIS - The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Senior Associate Athletic Director for Student Services and Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) Farrah Manthei has earned a four-year appointment to the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Tennis Committee.
Her term of service on the committee will begin Sept. 1 and run through Aug. 31, 2020.
In her role, Manthei will aid in the administration of the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Tennis Championships as well as the selection of tournament participants. She will also aid with issues related to the structure and future of Division I tennis.
“It is an honor to be able to represent UTRGV and the WAC on this committee,†Manthei said. “I am excited for this new opportunity and to be able to work with a great group of people.
Manthei has been with UTRGV Athletics for four years, originally joining the department as the Assistant Athletic Director for Administration in July of 2012. She was promoted to Associate Athletic Director for Administration and SWA in November 2013 before transitioning into her current role last summer.
