DENVER - Eight WAC programs, including four from Seattle U, have been honored by the NCAA with Public Recognition Awards, bestowed on teams with an NCAA Division I Academic Progress Rate in the top 10 percent of all squads in their respective sports in the 2014-15 academic year.

A total of 1,071 Division I teams from 290 schools received the NCAA Public Recognition Award for the 2014-15 academic year.
The APR provides a real-time look at a team's academic success each semester by tracking the academic progress of each student-athlete on scholarship. It also measures eligibility, graduation and retention each term and provides a clear picture of the academic performance for each team in every sport.
