WAC Women's Swimming and Diving Athletes of the Week Announced

DENVER - Seattle U's Blaise Wittenauer-Lee and CSU Bakersfield's Hannah Chernabaeff have been named Western Athletic Conference Women's Swimmer and Diver of the week, respectively, for Jan. 9-15.

Wittenauer-Lee, a senior from Portland, Ore., went four for four in Seattle U's two day meet against Northern Colorado. She placed first in the 400 IM (4:40.73) and the 200 IM (2:09.82). She also won the 100 breast (1:05.04) and the 200 breast (2:22.25), and had the top two ranked swims in the meet.

Chernabaeff, a sophomore from Bakersfield, Calif., placed second in the 3 meter with a career best score of 268.60 against UNLV. She also placed fourth in the 1 meter with a score of 240.90.

Other swimmer nominees: CSUB's Paola Hernandez won the 200 IM and 100 free and placed second in the 200 free against UNLV… Grand Canyon's Jovanna Koens won both of her individual events against BYU... North Dakota's Katie Breault won three individual events against South Dakota and three against South Dakota State.

Other diver nominees: North Dakota's Ari Brace won the 3 meter (258.08) and placed second in the 1 meter (213.60) against South Dakota State... Grand Canyon's Menna El Midany placed second in both the 1 meter (227.55) and the 3 meter (251.40) against BYU
