DENVER - Five men's soccer players from the Western Athletic Conference have been recognized for success in the classroom, being honored at Academic All-District selections by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Utah Valley had two players selected as defender
Chandler Baddley and
Paul Hoffmeister both earned honors. Air Force was represented by forward
John Sims. Houston Baptist defender
Bryan Brody was recognized for success in the classroom, as was UNLV goalkeeper
Enrique Adame.
It was the third-straight honor for both Hoffmeister and Brody.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his current institution. In addition, nominated athletes must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games at the position listed.
