LAS VEGAS - The NM State Aggies showed exactly why they were the WAC regular season champion, winning a third-straight WAC Tournament title over the Seattle U Redhawks, 63-48, on Saturday afternoon at Orleans Arena.

NM State took the lead at the beginning of the game and the Aggies never looked back. SU kept it tight midway through the first half but the Aggies went on a 19-6 run in the second quarter to take a comfortable lead into half. Seattle U went on an 8-0 run to open the second half but following an NM State timeout, the Aggies stayed in control the rest of the way to earn the win.

The Aggies were led by 19 points and 10 rebounds from Tamera William, who earned All-Tournament honors. Moriah Mack finished with 18 points and eight rebounds en route to Tournament MVP honors. Zaire Williams finished with 11 points to round out Aggies in double-digit scoring.

Seattle U was led by 13 points and 10 rebounds from Wilma Afunugo, who also earned All-Tournament honors. Kaylee Best had 11 points as she was also named All-Tournament while Alexis Montgomery added 10 points and 12 rebounds for the double-double.

NM State will learn their postseason fate on Monday evening during the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Selection shot at 5 p.m. MT on ESPN. Seattle U will also be playing in the postseason, representing the WAC at the WNIT. That bracket will be released later Monday evening.
