DENVER - Seattle U's Blaise Wittenauer-Lee has qualified to compete in the NCAA Championships in the 200 breaststroke. She is the only WAC Swimmer to qualify this season, and will be the first Redhawk swimmer to compete since SU moved to DI.
Wittenaur-Lee qualified in the 200 breaststroke with a WAC-record time of 2:09.85, ranking 24th in the nation. She also has ‘B' cuts in the 100 breaststroke and 200 IM, allowing her to compete in three events at the NCAA Championships.
At the WAC Championships in Houston, Wittenaur-Lee won three gold medals, set two WAC records, and became a five-time individual conference champion. She also set five individual program records, three school relay records, and was awarded WAC Female Swimmer of the Year.
The NCAA Championships will take place March 15-18 at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana. Wittenaur-Lee will begin the competition with the 200 IM on Thursday followed by the 100 breaststroke on Friday. The 200 breaststroke will be contested on Saturday, March 18.
