WAC Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week Announced

DENVER - Utah Valley's Darian Dutton and New Mexico State's Kayli Farmer have been named the Western Athletic Conference Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, for March 13-19.

Dutton, a senior from St. George, Utah, placed third in the 5,000m at the UNLV Spring Invitational with a PR time of 17:30.8. Her time ranks first in the WAC and 34th in the NCAA.

Farmer, a junior from Aztec, N.M., placed first in the high jump and second in the javelin at the Willie Williams Classic. Her mark in the high jump (1.70m) is a PR, ranks best in the WAC, and ranks 24th in the NCAA. She also had a PR in the javelin (42.39m) ranking first in the WAC.

Other Track Nominees: New Mexico State's Crissey Amberg placed first in the 800m and 1500m at the Williw Williams Classic, earning national rankings in both events… Seattle U's Johanna Erickson placed fourth in the steeplechase at the Lewis and Clark Spring Break Open with a WAC best time ranking her 36th in the NCAA… UMKC's Hanna Miller finished fourth in the 400m at the ESU Spring Invitational.

Other Field Nominees: UVU's Tiera Orr finished third in the high jump at the UNLV Spring Invitational with a PR ranking her 54th in the NCAA… Seattle U's Madie Maddux placed fifth in the javelin at the Lewis and Clark Spring Break Classic… CSUB's Julianne Finch won the pole vault at the Mountain T's Invitational, ranking first in the WAC and 44th in the NCAA… GCU's Sasha Gaye-Marston placed third in the shot put and discus at the Willie Williams Classic ranking first in the WAC in both events… UMKC's Jayla Riggins finished fourth in the long jump at the ESU Spring Invitational.
