WAC Men's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week Announced

DENVER - Utah Valley's Stetson Sartor and UMKC's Christopher Bryan have been named the Western Athletic Conference Men's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, for April 3-10.

Sartor, a junior from Herriman, UT., won the 100m at the Utah/Weber State Spring Classic. His time of 10.47 seconds gives him the top mark in the WAC. He also helped the Wolverines' 4x100 relay win first place with a time of 40.93 to rank second in the conference.

Bryan, a sophomore from St. Catherine, Jamaica, earned first place in the long jump at the Husker Spring Invite. His PR mark of 7.56m ranks first in the WAC and 15th in the NCAA West Region. He also moved into the top-five all-time performers list at UMKC.

Other Track Nominees: UMKC's Chadayne Walker placed second in the 200m at the Husker Spring Invite with a PR time ranking second in the WAC… Grand Canyon's Ryank Girk won the 100m at the Arizona Outdoor Classic with a PR that now leads the WAC… CSU Bakersfield's Curt Threlkeld finished sith in the 400m at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational with a new PR time that ranks second in the conference… Seattle U's Collin Olson competed in the 10,000m for the first time at WAR X finishing ninth and ranking him third in the WAC.

Other Field Nominees: Utah Valley's Albert MacArthur placed fourth in the long jump at the Utah/Weber State Spring Classic earning the second place spot in the conference… Grand Canyon's Josh Hamberlin placed third in the hammer throw at the Arizona Outdoor Classic with a new PR that leads the conference… CSU Bakersfield's Tim Van Horn won the high jump at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational with a WAC-leading mark that ranks 33rd in the NCAA… Seattle U's Jordan Kenison set a new PR and school record in his third place finish in the triple jump at WAR X… UTRGV's Paul May finished seventh in the shot put at the Baylor Invitational ranking him third in the conference.
