MISSION HILLS, Kan. - Led by an even-par 70 from freshman Pun Chanachai, the NM State Aggies moved into first place in the team standings following the second day of the 2017 WAC Women's Golf Championship at Indian Hills Country Club in Mission Hills, Kan.
The Aggies shot a 17-over-par 297 to build a seven-stroke lead over second-place UMKC. Seattle U is two strokes back of the Roos in third with a 36-hole score of 615. Utah Valley is in fourth at 616, followed by CSU Bakersfield (617), UT Rio Grande Valley (634) and Chicago State (654).
On the individual leaderboard, Grand Canyon's Deanna Salvatori held on to first place with a 4-over-par 74 but she now shares the top spot with UVU's Ana Margarita Raga and NMSU's Chanachai at 6-over-par 146. UMKC's Cynthia Diaz is three-back of the lead with a 9-over-par 149.
The final round begins on Friday morning with the first group teeing off at 8 a.m. CT.
