DENVER - Seattle U was selected as the favorite to win the 2017 Western Athletic Conference men's golf title in a vote of the league's head coaches, who could not vote for their own team.
The Redhawks, who placed second last year, received all six possible first-place votes for 36 points. UMKC, the defending champion, picked up the remaining first place vote and second place with 28 points. NM State, the champion from 2013-15, was selected third with 27 points. Utah Valley was fourth with 22 points, followed by UT Rio Grande Valley (15), CSU Bakersfield (13) and Chicago State (6).
