DENVER - Seattle U's Zack Overstreet and NM State's Camille Orito have been named Western Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Golfers of the Week, respectively, for the week of March 29 through April 4.

Overstreet, a freshman from Issaquah, Wash. (Issaquah HS), led SU to a third-place team finish at the Redhawk Invitational, carding a 2-under-par 210 to finish seventh among 93 golfers. After opening the tournament with a 1-over-par 72 in round one and an even-par 72 in round two, he posted the second-lowest round of the tournament on the final 18, going 3-under-par with a 67 to earn the top-10 finish. As a team, Seattle U was just seven strokes back from team champion Iowa State and six strokes behind second-place Northwestern.

Orito, a senior from Fresno, Calif. (Clovis West HS), earned her third top-25 finish of the season at the Hawkeye El Tigre Invitational in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. After shooting a 4-over-par 76 in the opening round, she improved by three strokes in the second round, shooting a 1-over-par 73. She followed that up with an even-par 72 in the final round to tie for 20th among 79 golfers. As a team, the Aggies were eighth among a very competitive field of 14 teams.

Other men's nominees: Chicago State's Cameron Boomer led the Cougars with a 227 at the Wright State Invitational, including a 2-under-par 69 in his final round of the tournament … Grand Canyon's Vinnie Murphy tied for 10th with a 3-over-par 215 at the Redhawk Invitational … NM State's Luis Medina shot a 5-over-par 149 in the rain-shortened Aggie Invitational, hosted by Texas A&M.

Other women's nominees: Chicago State's Fernanda Valdes Solis tied for 10th at the Fort Wayne Spring Classic, posting a 23-over-par 236.
