DENVER- Utah Valley's Jason Lynch and Albert MacArthur have been named the Western Athletic Conference Men's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, for May 1-7.
Lynch, a senior from Sandy, UT., finished ninth in the 5,000m at the Oxy Invitational. He finished with a new WAC-leading PR of 14:04.13. His time set a new UVU record, Lynch's second record set this season.
MacArthur, a freshman from Port Orchard, Wash., won the triple jump at the Weber State Twilight with a mark of 14.56m. He currently ranks third in the conference in the event.
