VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton University recently announced its Hall of Fame Class of 2017 and among the inductees is Western Athletic Conference Senior Associate Commissioner Mollie Lehman.

Lehman, a native of Castorland, N.Y., anchored BU's successful softball transition from the Division III to Division II ranks, playing shortstop and outfield and hitting near the top of the lineup. A two-time all-region selection, she led the team to the NCAA Division III tournament in 1997 and 1998 and then capped her career with the ECAC Division II team title in 2000. Lehman set five program records and ranks among the top-10 in five offensive categories, including career hits, runs and stolen bases. Her .379 career batting average is still the best after 39 years of softball at the University. Lehman was honored with the John Bilos Award in 2000 after earning her bachelor's in mathematics.

She joined the WAC staff in August 2007 and currently serves as the Senior Associate Commissioner of Finance and Administration. Lehman oversees the day-to-day Conference operations, including business, compliance, student-athlete services, media relations, championships, and human resources. She also serves as the senior woman administrator and assists the Conference with the Presidents' and Council groups. While at the WAC, Lehman served on the NCAA Honors Committee and NCAA DI Softball Committee, which she chaired in her last two years.

Lehman previously spent two years with the America East Conference where she served as the business manager and assisted with sport administration and championships. Prior to the America East, Lehman started her career at Binghamton directing an event management program that encompassed 19 sports. She also provided support in academics, directed the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and spent one year as an assistant softball coach at the University.
