DENVER- The Western Athletic Conference announces its men's tennis pre-conference coaches polls, as voted on by the six head coaches in the league. Grand Canyon was selected as the pre-season favorite.
The head coaches chose Grand Canyon as the favorite with five first-place votes for a total of 25 points. NM State received the final first-place vote as they received 20 points on the poll, predicting them to finish second. Kansas City was right behind the Aggies with 18 points and UT Rio Grande Valley had 13. Rounding out the poll was Seattle U with eight points and Chicago State with six to grab the fifth and sixth spots.
The 2018 Western Athletic Conference Tennis championships will be hosted by Grand Canyon and will take place at the Mesa Tennis Center in Mesa, Ariz., April 27-29.
