DENVER -
NM State's Fahren Glackin and Grand Canyon's Yesenia Morrison have been named the Western Athletic Conference Hitter and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, for March 19-25. This is the second honor of the season and of her career for Glackin and the first-ever honor for Morrison.

Glackin, a senior utility player from Honolulu, played an important role in the Aggies' victory over in-state rival New Mexico. She hit .500 with a double, a triple, two runs scored and four RBIs in a 12-7 win over the Lobos in NM State's only game last week. Both of Glackin's hits were for extra bases as she posted her fourth double and third triple of the season in the victory. She finished the contest slugging 1.250 and posting a .667 on-base percentage as she was also hit twice in the contest.

Morrison, a freshman right-hander from Grand Terrace, Calif., picked up her first complete-game shutout of the season as she posted a 0.00 ERA in the Lopes' 2-0 victory over Pac-12 visitor Utah last Tuesday. She allowed just one hit over five innings to move her record to 4-2 on the season. Morrison limited Utah, ranked 34th in RPI entering the week, to a .063 batting average on the game, striking out two batters over five innings in the game that was shortened due to a pre-arranged stop time to accommodate the Utes' travel.

Sierra Smith of Grand Canyon hit .500 with a double, a home run and two RBIs in a doubleheader against Utah ... Kansas City's Morgan Byrn hit .400 with a double, a home run and two RBIs ...
