NM STATE'S GLACKIN, GRAND CANYON'S MORRISON NAMED WAC ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
NM State's
Fahren Glackin and Grand Canyon's
Yesenia Morrison have been named the Western Athletic Conference Hitter and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, for March 19-25. This is the second honor of the season and of her career for Glackin and the first-ever honor for Morrison.
Glackin, a senior utility player from Honolulu, played an important role in the Aggies' victory over in-state rival New Mexico. She hit .500 with a double, a triple, two runs scored and four RBIs in a 12-7 win over the Lobos in NM State's only game last week. Both of Glackin's hits were for extra bases as she posted her fourth double and third triple of the season in the victory. She finished the contest slugging 1.250 and posting a .667 on-base percentage as she was also hit twice in the contest.
Morrison, a freshman right-hander from Grand Terrace, Calif., picked up her first complete-game shutout of the season as she posted a 0.00 ERA in the Lopes' 2-0 victory over Pac-12 visitor Utah last Tuesday. She allowed just one hit over five innings to move her record to 4-2 on the season. Morrison limited Utah, ranked 34th in RPI entering the week, to a .063 batting average on the game, striking out two batters over five innings in the game that was shortened due to a pre-arranged stop time to accommodate the Utes' travel.

SEATTLE U HAS ALREADY SURPASSED LAST YEAR'S WIN TOTAL
Seattle U currently sits atop the WAC standings with a 22-15 record. The Redhawks have already surpassed their win total from last season when the team finished 20-32. For the first time since joining the WAC in 2013, the Redhawks collected 20 wins before the start of the league schedule.
NM STATE'S BUTLER, GLACKIN RANK IN TOP FIVE IN HIT BY PITCH
Nikki Butler and
Fahren Glackin have once again etched their names in the NM State hit by pitch records. Both players have been hit a team-high nine times so far this season, good for a tie for fifth. Glackin was hit 10 times last year as a junior, ranking tied for second, while Butler set the record as a freshman a season ago, getting hit 13 times.
UTAH VALLEY'S COOK IS A PERFECT 18-FOR-18 IN STOLEN BASES
With three more stolen bases last week, Utah Valley junior
Skylar Cook is now a perfect 18-for-18 in stolen bases on the year. The 18 stolen bases lead the WAC and rank second in the UVU single-season record books behind Morgan Summers Smith's record of 24 (24-for-25) in 2016. Cook's 18 stolen bases are also the most stolen bases that a Wolverine has ever achieved without being caught.

Seattle U first baseman
Madison Cathcart currently leads the NCAA in home runs (17) and total bases (108). She also ranks third in slugging percentage (1.080), fourth in RBIs (46) and homers per game (0.49), 11th in RBIs per game (1.31), 15th in hits (46), 16th in walks (0.77), 20th in doubles (11) and 24th in batting average (.460).
