SEATTLE U'S KRISTJANSON, LARKINS NAMED WAC ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

Maddy Kristjanson and
Andie Larkins have been named the Western Athletic Conference Hitter and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, for April 9-15. This is the first-ever honor for Kristjanson and the first honor of the season and second of her career for Larkins.
Kristjanson, a senior shortstop from Mountlake Terrace, Wash., hit .455 with one double, two home runs, three runs scored and three RBIs over three games played last week as the Redhawks swept the series at CSU Bakersfield to move into a tie for first place in the WAC standings. She posted a 1.091 slugging percentage and a .500 on-base percentage as she also walked once on the week. Kristjanson hit a home run in the top of the 10th inning of the weekend's first game, lifting Seattle U to a 4-3 win. In Friday's nightcap, she went 2-for-3 with a run. Kristjanson capped her weekend with a two-hit showing on Saturday, including her second homer of the weekend. She also doubled and drove in two runs in the contest.
Larkins, a junior right-hander from Tucson, Ariz., went 1-0 with a 1.24 ERA over 11.1 innings last week while holding opponents to a .128 batting average. She allowed just two earned runs on five hits while striking out 11 batters. Larkins pitched 4.1 innings in relief in the 10-inning game Friday, giving up no earned runs and three hits while striking out three. She then threw a complete game for her ninth win of the year Saturday, allowing just two hits over seven innings, matching her career high with eight strikeouts.

SEATTLE U'S CATHCART SETS SEASON DOUBLES RECORD
When she hit a double in the series finale against CSU Bakersfield on April 14, Seattle U sophomore
Madison Cathcart set the school's Division I record for doubles in a season with 18. Cathcart currently leads the WAC and ranks fourth nationally in the category.
CSUB'S BURT BECOMES PROGRAM STOLEN BASE LEADER
CSU Bakersfield senior
Kaylynn Burt set the program Division I career stolen base record with her 34th career stolen base in the first game of the series against Utah Valley on April 13. Burt is also the career leader in hit by pitch (26) and ranks third all-time in walks (46).
SEATTLE U'S BOLASKY ONE STEAL SHY OF PROGRAM RECORD
Seattle U senior
Nicole Bolasky currently leads the WAC with 25 steals this season. She needs one more stolen base to tie Katie Antich's single-season school record for steals (26) set in 2008.
UTAH VALLEY POSTS JUST THIRD SERIES SWEEP SINCE JOINING THE WAC
When it swept Kansas City by scores of 10-2, 7-1 and 10-6 last weekend, it was just Utah Valley's third conference series sweep since joining the WAC prior to the 2014 season. The Wolverines also swept the Roos in 2017 and swept CSU Bakersfield during the 2014 season.
SEATTLE U WINS 30TH GAME OF THE YEAR
With a sweep of CSU Bakersfield last weekend, Seattle U claimed its 30th win of the year, extending the record for the most in the program's Division I history. The Redhawks also won 20 games prior to the start of WAC play for the first time ever.
UTAH VALLEY'S COOK IS A PERFECT 20-FOR-20 IN STOLEN BASES
With one more stolen base last week, Utah Valley junior
Skylar Cook is 20-for-20 in stolen bases. The 20 stolen bases rank second in the WAC and in the UVU single-season record books behind Morgan Summers Smith's record of 24 (24-for-25) in 2016. Cook's 20 stolen bases are also the most stolen bases that a Wolverine has ever achieved without being caught.
SEATTLE U CLAIMS THIRD-EVER WAC SERIES SWEEP
Seattle U claimed just the third WAC series sweep in program history, taking all three meetings from CSU Bakersfield last weekend. The WAC sweep was the second in a row for Seattle U and just its third ever. The first came during the 2013 season against Utah State.
