DENVER- The 2018 All-WAC women's tennis teams have been named, following a vote of the WAC's six head coaches. Kansas City's Aliona Ladutska headlines the awards, earning WAC Player of the Year honors, while Seattle U's Kyra Jung was named WAC Freshman of the Year and UT Rio Grande Valley's Sonia Hahn earned WAC Coach of the Year honors.
Ladutska was named WAC Player of the Year after going 5-0 in conference play at the No. 1 singles position. She was named Player of the Month in October and Player of the Week four times this season as a singles player. Ladutska partnered with teammate Grace Ball as the No. 2 doubles team for Kansas City and went 4-1 in WAC play.
Jung earned WAC Freshman of the Year honors after going 2-3 in the third position for Seattle U as a singles player in WAC play. She also paired up with teammate Hannah Gianan as the No. 2 doubles team for the Redhawks as they went 2-3 on the season.
Hahn earned WAC Coach of the Year for the first time after leading UT Rio Grande Valley to a perfect 5-0 conference play record. This year marks the first for the Vaqueros to claim the regular season title and a bye in the first round of the tournament.
