WAC Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week Announced

DENVER – Kansas City's Christopher Bryan has been named the Western Athletic Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week for Dec. 2-9.
 
Bryan, a graduate student from St. Catherine, Jamaica, took home gold in the 60-meter hurdle event as the 'Roos competed at the Bob Timmons Challenge in Lawrence, Kan. Bryan finished ahead of competition from schools that included Arkansas, Kansas and Oklahoma State. He finished the race in 8.25 seconds, which would have been good for the third-fastest time in the conference based on times from last season. With a mark of 7.46 meters, Bryan also took first in the long jump event.
 
Other track nominee: Utah Valley's Kevin Lynch finished with the top time in the 3000-meter run (8:36.20) at the Weber State Invitational from Dec. 6-7.
