WAC Women’s Swimming and Diving Athletes of the Week Announced

DENVER – CSU Bakersfield's Autumn D'Arcy and California Baptist's Kiree Lowe have been named the Western Athletic Conference Women's Swimmer and Diver of the Week, respectively, for Dec. 9-15.
 
D'Arcy, a sophomore from Redlands, Calif., went a perfect three-for-three in her individual events over the weekend. She picked up a first-place finish in the 50 freestyle (23.84), the 100 freestyle (51.78) and the 100 butterfly (55.50). D'Arcy managed three of the 'Runners four total wins as the team fell to Fresno State. The sophomore also helped lead the CSUB 200 medley relay team to a second-place finish, touching at 1:47.63.
 
Lowe, a Sophomore from Clovis, Calif., earned the Lancer's top dive as she took home silver in the three-meter event. Lowe scored a 248 in prelims and landed a 244 in the finals to claim the second spot. The Lancers competed at the UNLV Invite against competition from UNLV, Fresno Pacific, Pacific, and Linfield College.
 
Other swimmer nominees: California Baptist's Rebeca Oviedo notched a pair of top-five finishes as she finished second in the 500 freestyle event (4:54.15) and fifth in the 200 individual medley (2:05.06).
 
Other diver nominees: CSU Bakersfield's Lauren Carson finished the weekend with a silver in the 1-meter event (189.07) and bronze at the 3-meter height (182.32).
