WAC Men's Golfer of the Week Announced
DENVER – California Baptist's Harrison Kingsley has been named Western Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for Feb. 27 to March 5.
Kingsley, a freshman from Murrieta, Calif. (Murrieta Valley HS), fired three sub-par rounds to take second with a 9-under-par 207 at the Sacramento State Invitational and lead the Lancers to their third-straight top-five team finish. After firing a 4-under-par 68 to open tournament action, he carded a 1-under-par 71 in the second round and came back with another 4-under-par 68 in the final round to move up four spots on the individual leaderboard to finish just one stroke back of the lead. As a team, the Lancers were 2-over-par for the tournament to take fourth among 15 teams competing.
Other men's nominees: Grand Canyon's Filip Lundell was under par all three rounds of the Sacramento State Invitational, shooting a 7-under-par 209 to finish in a tie for fourth place … Seattle U's Gabe Spach led the Redhawks at the Sacramento State Invitational, shooting a 1-over-par 217 to tie for 21st place.
