WAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week

DENVER – Kansas City's Quinlan Moll and Utah Valley's Albert MacArthur have been named Western Athletic Conference Men's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, for March 19-25.

Moll, a senior from Springfield, Mo., ran the fastest time in the WAC in the 10,000-meter. His time of 29:37.54 earned him 16th out of 108 competitors and is the second-fastest in program history. Moll's time ranks 73rd in the nation.

MacArthur, a junior from Port Orchard, Wash., earned gold in the Long Jump and Triple Jump at the UVU Collegiate Invitational. He is ranked top-20 in the nation in both events after making his way in at 19th in the Triple Jump with a mark of 15.48 meters. MacArthur is 13th throughout the NCAA in the Long Jump after jumping 7.69 meters at the UNLV Invitational. In the outdoor season, MacArthur has claimed four first-place titles.

Other track nominees: Simon Bedard of California Baptist ran the 10,000 meter in 29:57.86, good for second-best on the program all-times list… Gabe Gaeta of CSU Bakersfield earned second and posted the second-best time in the conference in the 400-meter Hurdles… Bryson Benjamin of Grand Canyon ran the fastest 400-meter time in the WAC in 48.27.

Other field nominees: CSU Bakersfield's Corbin Chronister tossed a personal best in Shot Put reaching 16.21 meters, third-best in the conference… Moataz Hassan of Grand Canyon broke the school record in the Shot Put and ranks fourth in the WAC… Kansas City's Lukas Van Der Watt notched the top Pole Vault mark in the WAC at five meters.
