Ten WAC Programs Honored by NCAA with Public Recognition Awards
INDIANAPOLIS – Ten WAC programs, including four from Seattle U, have been honored by the NCAA with Public Recognition Awards, bestowed on teams with an NCAA Division I Academic Progress Rate in the top 10 percent of all squads in their respective sports based on their most recent multi-year Academic Progress Rates after the 2017-18 academic year.

A total of 1,328 Division I teams from 321 schools received the NCAA Public Recognition Award for the 2017-18 academic year. The most recent APRs are multiyear rates based on scores from the 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17 abd 2017-18 academic years.
The APR measures eligibility, graduation and retention each semester or academic term and provides a clear picture of the ongoing academic performance for each team in every sport. All teams must meet an academic threshold of 930 to qualify for the postseason and can face penalties for continued low academic performance.
