WAC Men’s Swimming and Diving Athletes of the Week Announced
DENVER – CSU Bakersfield's Kris Rogic and California Baptist's Evan Honer has been named the Western Athletic Conference Men's Swimmer and Diver of the Week, respectively, for Dec. 16-22.
Rogic, a junior from Zagreb, Croatia, landed two first place wins in the 200 IM (1:51.24) and 200 backstroke (1:49.86). He also came in second in the 100 backstroke (49.98), only .01 seconds behind first.
Honer, a freshman from Suprise, Ariz., earned 2 first place finishes. The first in the 3-meter board with 328.58 points and the 1-meter board with a score of 318.30. The 1- meter board score was a new best for Honer and moved him up to fourth in CBU's top-10 record book.
Other swimmer nominee: Joe Molinari of California Baptist finished another week with four top-three finishes.
Other diver nominee: CSU Bakersfield's Adam Estrella finished first in 1- meter board dive with 274.34, just missing his personal best by 1.5
