DENVER – UT Rio Grande Valley's Tae Itthiratchai and NM State's Alex Quihuis have been named TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Golfers of the Week, respectively, for March 4 through March 10.

Itthiratchai, a senior from Bangkok, Thailand, recorded his first top-10 finish of the spring to led UTRGV to the team title at the Colin Montgomerie Invitational in Spring, Texas. The senior shot a 1-under-par 215, including a 4-under-par 68 in the second round, to tie for fifth among 75 golfers. On the season, he holds a team-best 72.76 stroke average, which ranks him fifth among all golfers in the conference.

Quihuis, a freshman from Tucson, Ariz., carded the first top-10 finish of her collegiate career at the Arizona Wildcat Invitational, tying for sixth with a 2-under-par 214. Finishing ahead of five nationally ranked individuals, she shot an even par 72 to open the tournament before going 1-under-par 71 for the final two rounds. As a team, the Aggies tied for second with the 15th-ranked Oregon Ducks at 4-over-par 868.

Other women's nominees: Utah Valley's Keila Baladad led the Wolverines at the BYU at Entrada Classic, tying for 18th with a 13-over-par 229.
