Six from WAC Recognized as GCAA All-Academic Teams

NORMAN, Okla. - Six men's golf teams from across the WAC have been honored by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) as All-Academic Teams for carrying a team GPA of 3.0 or higher.

The teams from California Baptist, Kansas City, NM State, Seattle U, UT Rio Grande Valley and Utah Valley were all honored.

In addition, Seattle U and UT Rio Grande Valley were awarded President's Special Recognition for having a team GPA above 3.5. This is the third-straight season the Redhawks have received the honor and the first year for the Vaqueros.

A total of 250 teams across all divisions earns All-Academic Team recognition and a total of 95 teams received President's Special Recognition status.

To be eligible for GCAA All-Academic Team honors a college or university must submit the GPAs for each player on its official squad list for the academic year.
